Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven -
Sugar costing Rs. 84 per kg be mixed with sugar costing Rs. 59 per kg
Profit = 10%, selling price = Rs. 73.7
Formula used -
Selling price = (100 + profit) × cost price/100
Solution -
Let the cost price of the whole mixture be Rs. x.
⇒ x = 73.7 × 100/110
⇒ x = Rs. 67
Ratio = (67 - 59) ∶ (84 – 67)
⇒ 8 ∶ 17
∴ The ratio is 8 : 17.
