Calculation:
Let half of the distance = x km
According to the question
x/72 + x/78 = 75
⇒ ( 13x + 12x ) / 936 = 75
⇒ 25x / 936 = 75
⇒ 25x = 75 × 936
⇒ x = (75 × 936) / 25
⇒ x = 2808
Half of the distance = 2808 km
Total distance = 2808 × 2 = 5616 km
∴ The total distance of the entire journey is 5616 km.
