The logic followed here is:-

From the given three different cubes, figure 1 and figure 3, the adjacent sides are as shown below :

As 3 is common in both figure 1 and figure 3, it is clear that 2, 4, 5 and 6 are adjacent to it, and the remaining number i.e., 1 will be opposite to it.
