As per IS 7861 (Part I): 1975, Clause 2.1

Hot Weather Concreting; Any operation of concreting done at atmospheric temperatures above 40C or any operation of concreting (other than steam curing) where the temperature of concrete at the time of its placement is expected to be beyond 40C.

As per IS 7861 (Part II): 1981, Clause 2.1

Cold Weather Concreting; Any operation of concreting done at about 5C atmospheric temperature or below.
