RRB NTPC 2025 Selection Process
The selection of candidates for the RRB NTPC Recruitment is a multi-stage process curated to shortlist the most eligible candidates for these posts. The stage-wise RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories selection process is explained below.
Stage-I Computer-Based Test (CBT 1)
The first stage of the Railway NTPC selection process is the Computer-Based Test (CBT-1). This stage is common for all notified posts and assesses candidates on General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The exam carries a weightage of 100 marks.
Stage-II Computer-Based Test (CBT 2)
The second stage of the selection process is another Computer-Based Test (CBT-2), which further evaluates candidates' proficiency in General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The exam comprises 120 questions carrying 1 mark each.
Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) & Typing Skill Test (TST)
Candidates for posts such as Assistant Station Master (ASM) and Traffic Assistant are also required to undergo the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). RRB NTPC 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the recruitment, candidates must fulfill the RRB NTPC Eligibility in terms of post-wise age, qualifications, etc. Those who do not meet these requirements will be disqualified. To be eligible for the railway 2025 exam, candidates must meet specific age and educational qualifications based on the level of the post. For undergraduate posts, applicants must be between 18 to 33 years of age as on 1st January 2025 and should have passed Class 12th from a recognized board. RRB NTPC 2025 Syllabus
Candidates preparing for the exam must plan their preparation strategy according to the latest RRB NTPC Syllabus. This will help candidates strategize their preparation effectively. RRB NTPC Marks Normalization Process
RRB Normalization is a process done by RRB to normalize the raw marks scored by candidates in different sessions of the exam. In the normalization process, RRB considers the raw marks of the top 1% of candidates in each session. A common scale is generated based on the distribution of these top scorers' marks. Then the marks of all candidates from different sessions are adjusted to this common scale. This helps calculate the marks up to 5 decimal places ensuring fairness.

RRB NTPC 2025 Salary
The salary of posts under the NTPC exam is calculated as per the 7th CPC pay matrix and will vary for different posts. The RRB NTPC Salary for level 2 posts like Junior Clerk Cum Typist is in the range of Rs. 19,900 – Rs 63,200/-. For Level 3 posts like Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk the salary range is Rs 21,700 – Rs 69,100. Graduate-level posts offer salaries ranging from Rs 25,500 – Rs 81,100 for level 4 posts to Rs 44,900- Rs 1,42,400 for level 6 posts like Station Masters as per the 7th CPC pay matrix. In addition to basic pay, candidates will also be eligible for allowances like DA & HRA and perks like PF, pension, etc.
