Uttar Pradesh Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test (UPCATET) is the Entrance Examination for admission to many UG, PG, and PhD programs in various departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Forestry, Fisheries and more. UPCATET 2025 application process was held from March 17 to May 7, 2025, and the correction window is open from May 9 to 14, 2025. The UPCATET exam will be held on June 11 and 12 2025 by Chandra shekhar azad university of agriculture and technology. What is UPCATET?

The Uttar Pradesh Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test (UPCATET) is an Entrance Exam held to provide admission to Uttar Pradesh State domicile candidates in various UG, PG and PhD programs offered at Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur; Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut; Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj, Faridabad; and Chandra shekhar azad university of agriculture and technology The UPCATET is a state-level entrance exam held once a year.

UPCATET 2025 Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates can refer to the points below to check if they are eligible for the course they want to apply for. Age Limit

For UG Courses

The minimum Age Limit for B.VSc & AH is 17 years, and the maximum age is 25 years as of 31 December, 2025, 5 yrs relaxation for reserved categories. For the remaining UG courses, the minimum age limit is 16 years and the maximum age limit is 22 years.

For PG Courses

There is no age limit for students seeking admissions in Post Graduate programs.

Nationality

• The candidate should be a ‘Resident of Uttar Pradesh’ meaning the candidate, must have passed the qualifying examination from UP and has been living in the state for the past 5 years, OR

• The candidate’s father is a Resident of Uttar Pradesh, or the candidate’s father was not a Resident of Uttar Pradesh before but now has been living in the state for the past 5 years, OR
• The candidate who is a Foreign national but whose ancestors were residents of UP.

Reservation

The Reservation Policy for students will be based on the Uttar Pradesh State Guidelines.

Number of Attempts

There is no limit on the number of attempts for UPCATET.

UPCATET 2025 Selection Process 

Candidates who clear the UPCATET Exam are listed in the merit list released on the official body. The candidates can go through the following details for the selection process in UPCATET UG and PG programs.

For UG Courses

The selection process will be based on the written test and counselling process. The written test will be based on different courses students will opt for. The test exams include subjects like PCB, PCM, PAG, PHS.

For PG Courses

The selection will be based on the test followed by the counselling process. The written test will be based on Graduation subjects like MHS, MAG, MVS, MTA, MTM, MTB, MFS, MFR and MBA

UPCATET 2025 Result and Scorecard

The UPCATET 2025 results will be announced on June 23, 2025, on its official website. Candidates must enter their roll number/registration number, date of birth, and course to view their UPCATET result. The result or scorecard will also include information on sectional and overall scores, percentiles, and cutoff marks.

UPCATET 2025 Counselling

Candidates who pass the UPCATET exam are invited to the counselling round based on their merit. Candidates will be assigned seats in their respective courses and universities during the UPCATET 2025 counselling session. It should be noted that candidates need to carry five sets of all the documents. The documents required are:

• Downloaded copy of the online application form duly attested by Registrar/ Principal/ Dean of last attended college/ institution
• Original and attested photocopies of marksheets and certificates of Bachelor and Master Degree courses
• Original copy of sport weightage certificate
• Five passport size photographs with name and roll number written on the back
• An affidavit accounting for discontinuity of more than three months after leaving the college/ institution last attended
• Attested photocopies of Class X and XII certificates and mark sheets
• Domicile certificate of Uttar Pradesh state issued by the competent authority
• Original copy of character and conduct certificate from the Head of last attended college/ institution
• Original copy of OBC category certificate issued after March 31, 2025, or valid on counselling date
• Original copy of transfer/ migration certificate

The UPCATET 2025 Merit List is presented in the form of a rank card, which includes the names of the successful candidates, their roll numbers, ranks, and date of birth. The UPCATET conducting authority creates the merit list. • Candidates must arrive 45 minutes before the scheduled time at the UPCATET exam center.
• Every candidate is advised to thoroughly check all of the information on their Admit Card, including their Name, Photograph, Signature, Registration Number, Stage and Module(s) of Examination enrolled for, Examination Center (Name, Address, Code, etc.), Medium of Examination, Dates, and Timings of Examination, Details of Paper-wise Exemption granted, Elective Subject.
• Candidates must bring an Admit Card and a Student Identity Card issued/authorized by the Institute to the Examination Centre every day to establish their identity and secure admission to the Examination; otherwise, they will be denied entry.
