Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
A and B can do a piece of work in 18 days
C and D can do a piece of work in 90 days.
Formula used:
LCM method
Calculation:
LCM of 18 and 90 = 90
Total work = 90 unit
Efficiency of A + B = 90/18 = 5 unit
Efficiency of C + D = 90/90 = 1 unit
Efficiency of A+ B+ C+ D = 5+ 1 = 6 unit
Number of days required to complete the work A, B, C, and D together = 90/6
= 15 days
∴ The number of days to required to complete work A, B, C, and D together is 15 days.
