Magnetic energy stored in magnetic field:

The energy stored in the magnetic field is given by:

\(E={1\over 2}LI^2\) ............(i)

\(I={λ \over L}\) ............(ii)

Putting values of equation (ii) in (i), we get:

\(E={1\over 2}L({λ \over L})^2\)

\(E={0.5λ^2\over L}\)

where, E = Magnetic energy

λ = Flux linkage

L = Inductance

I = Current
