Concept:

A prime number is a positive integer greater than 1, which has no positive integer divisors other than 1 and itself.

Highest 2-digit prime number:

For 2-digit numbers, the highest possible is 99. Since 99 is not a prime number

(it's divisible by 3 and 11), we look to the next lower integers.

Doing so, we find that the highest 2-digit prime number is 97.

Therefore, the largest 2-digit prime number is 97.
