TNPSC Group 1 Eligibility 2025: Age Limit & Qualification

For TNPSC Group 1 eligibility in 2025, candidates must be aged between 21 to 34 years for Assistant Commissioner positions, while it is 32 years for the District Education Officer role. They should hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in a relevant discipline, with preference given to those with additional qualifications. Only Indian nationals and residents of Tamil Nadu are eligible.

TNPSC Group 1 Educational Qualifications

To be eligible for TNPSC Group 1 posts, candidates must have a graduate degree from a recognized university in India. The degree should be from a university incorporated by a Central or State Act, an educational institution established by an Act of Parliament, or a deemed university under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. Below is the educational qualification requirement for TNPSC Group 1 posts:

TNPSC Group 1 Proficiency in Tamil

Candidates should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil on the date of this Notification. The candidate shall be deemed to possess an adequate knowledge of Tamil if, he/she has passed the SSLC examination or its equivalent examination / HSC / Degree, etc., with Tamil as one of the languages or studied the High School Course in Tamil medium.
