IBPS PO Educational Qualification
As per the IBPS PO Eligibility requirements, Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. The degree must be completed on or before 21st July 2025, the last date of registration.
While applying, candidates must mention the percentage of marks obtained in graduation, and they must possess a valid mark sheet or degree certificate as proof. If the university follows a CGPA or OGPA system, candidates should convert it into a percentage using the university’s official formula and provide supporting documentation. No minimum percentage is specified, but accurate details must be entered in the application form to avoid disqualification during document verification.
IBPS PO Nationality
According to the IBPS PO Eligibility requirements, a candidate with any of the following nationalities can apply for the recruitment:
- A Citizen of India or
- A subject of Nepal or
- A subject of Bhutan or
- A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

Note* provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) & (5) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
IBPS PO Calculation Percentage
While applying for IBPS PO 2025, candidates must calculate their graduation percentage carefully as per the official guidelines. The percentage should be calculated by taking the total marks obtained in all subjects across all semesters or years (including optional or additional subjects) and dividing it by the aggregate maximum marks, then multiplying the result by 100.
If the university awards marks in CGPA or OGPA, candidates must convert it into percentage using the official conversion formula provided by their institution. This conversion proof must be presented during the interview or document verification. It's important to note that any fraction in percentage will be ignored — for instance, 59.99% will be considered less than 60%. Therefore, ensure accuracy while entering marks to avoid disqualification.
IBPS PO Credit History
Candidates selected through IBPS PO 2025 must maintain a clean credit history at the time of joining any of the participating banks. A minimum CIBIL score or similar credit rating, as per the bank’s internal policies, is expected. If any candidate has adverse remarks on their credit report or if their credit data is not updated, they must provide valid No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from the concerned financial institutions before joining. Failure to meet this requirement may lead to withdrawal of the job offer. However, this condition is not applicable to candidates with no existing bank accounts and is not a mandatory criterion while applying for the exam.
