We know that

\(Capacitance = C = \frac{{ϵ}A}{d}\)

Also, ϵ = ϵ0 ϵr

∴  \(C = \frac{{ϵ_0 ϵ_r}A}{d}\)

∴ C ∝ ϵr 

Where, ϵ= Relative permittivity

ϵ= Absolute permittivity

A = Cross-sectional Area

d = Separation between the two layers or plates
