Concept:

Volume of a cone = 1/3 × π × r² × h.

Solution:

As it's a right circular cone, h = √(slant height² - (base radius)²) =1/3 × π × r2 × h.

Volume = 1/3 × π × 8² × 6 = 401.92 ft³.

Therefore, the volume of the sand heap is 401.92 cubic feet.
