Given:

Petrol poured = 63 litres

Remaining empty = 1%

Formula Used:

Total capacity = Petrol poured / (1 - Empty percentage)

Calculations:

Let total capacity be C litres.

Filled percentage = 100% - 1% = 99%

63 = (99/100) × C

⇒ C = 63 × (100/99)

⇒ C = 6300 / 99

⇒ C = 63.64

∴ Total capacity of the tank ≈ 63.64 litres.
