Given:

Monika can do the work in 6 hours

Anita can do the work in 8 hours

Manju can do the work in 5 hours

Formula used:

Work done = Time taken × Efficiency

Time taken ∝ 1/Efficiency

Calculation:

1st hour work by A = 1/6

2nd hour work by B = 1/8

3rd hour work by C = 1/5

Work completed in 1 hour working together:

⇒ 1/6 + 1/8 + 1/5

⇒ (20 + 15 + 24)/120 = 59/120

Time taken to complete the work

⇒ 120/59

⇒ 2(2/59)

The entire work be finished in 2(2/59) hours.

Work done in 1 hour together:

⇒ 20 + 15 + 24 = 59

Total time required to complete the work

⇒ 120/59 = 2(2/59)
